Penang Economic Seminar 2008:Global Economic Trends and Its Impact on Penang/Malaysia (5 Aug 2008)
Over the past one year, a series of risk issues from the liquidity crisis in the financial markets to the emerging concerns over the long-term security of food supply, have focused global attention on the fragility of the global economic system. Uncertainty centres on how the global economy will respond to the spreading liquidity crunch of 2007, which will undoubtedly leave its mark on 2008.
In order to address the issues concerning the impact and challenges of current economic trends to Peanng and Malaysia, as well as to discuss relevant policies and measures to achieve sustainable economic growth, SERI will be organising the "Penang Economic Seminar 2008: Global Economic Trends and Its Impact on Penang/Malaysia".
